Just Another Day in Paradise...

On one of our vacation mornings Michael, Kellan, and I headed to the beach just the three of us, before the weather got too hot.  We put Kellan in his float and he could swim along beside us.

I'm enjoying this age while Kellan still thinks mom is funny :)

Sleepy boy sucking the salt off of his fingers

Kellan under his own little umbrella beach spot!
He was so relaxed he took a nap!
We watched this bird catch fish after fish

Mommy and Kellan...the sun was too bright to get him to look up!
Fascinated by mommy's sunglasses

When Kellan woke up from his nap we headed in to eat lunch.  We decided to check out a Cuban restaurant that was featured on the TV show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.  When I was pregnant and walking on the elliptical late at night Michael and I would watch marathons on the Food Network and HGTV.  We have seen LOTS of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives episodes with tons of restaurants that we would love to try.  We try to visit them when we are traveling.  The closest one to us was called Jose's Real Cuban Food so we hopped on the trolley to go check it out.

Wiggly baby on the trolley ride
Not sure how he feels about the man that was trying to talk to him
We made it!  They even brought us a sample of pork to try while we waited for our table.  Here is the clip from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the restaurant...

Trying to keep this little one entertained was a big job...he was banging everything that he could find on the table as loud as possible...one of the workers brought him 3 little plastic sauce cups and he was quiet the rest of the time!

The best Cuban sandwich I have ever had....I don't know even know how to begin to describe the pork that they use...it was phenomenal!

Pork and rice, black beans, and plantains...the food was AMAZING!
I highly recommend checking out any of the restaurants featured on the show if you are ever near one!  They have yet to disappoint!
